UHF for Brain System Anatomy and Function

Research Works

After being circumscribed to very few specialized MR research centers for one decade, Ultra High Field MRI (>= 7T) starts to be considered useful in the clinical settings, where it provides a real added value for diagnosis and prognosis, especially in clinical neuroimaging. We contribute to this transition of UHF MRI from fundamental research to clinical research through an incremental pathway: understanding of physical mechanisms underlying advanced MR contrasts; meeting the technological challenges associated with UHF MRI for the development of optimized MR sequences allowing the derivation of quantitative parameters associated to these contrasts; implementing optimized and robust multiparametric clinical MRI protocols; validating these protocols on healthy controls and cohorts of patients.
