Ultra-High Field multimodal MR system at 7T for small animals

CRMBM is equipped with an ultra-high-field magnetic resonance system, a Bruker PharmaScan 70/16 US working at a magnetic field strength of 7 T, financed by France Life Imaging and AFMTelethon. It is operational since the 1st quarter of 2016 for preclinical applications on small animals.

It has an AutoPac system for animal positioning, a B-GA9S HP gradient system (max. intensity 760 mT/m), rat and mouse beds and six RF coils: 2 volume resonators and 4 surface probes, including an MRI cryoprobe that increases sensitivity by a factor of 2.5 to 5.3 compared to standard room temperature coils.

Preclinical applications will be described soon...!
